Saturday, March 31

Hi Everyone: I've been busy busy busy getting things ready for vacation next week... I won't be able to get much done next week, so I need to get the things done that I've committed to before Wednesday!
Here are the scans of my deco spread for Candio's "If I Ruled the World" deco. I had fun with this theme. If I ruled the world... mornings would start much later... and tea time would be any time... and in school... we'd have the 4 "Rs" -- reading, writing, arithmatic... and art! :)

I hope Candio likes.
Other things I've done in the past few weeks...

This is an ATC that I made as a "holder" for my fabric charms. I missed the fabric charm deadline, so I didn't get these out to the hostess in time, so these will be RAKs and gifts. I had fun making them. I haven't yet taken a pic of the charms, but when I do I'll upload them.
I have eight other ATCs ... they're all different, and I'll get those uploaded after our vacation. This will probably be my last update until after the vacation.
Thanks for reading along.

Tuesday, March 27

Time sure does fly! Even when you aren't having fun, but especially when you are... or when you don't have time to lose!
Just a quick update tonight, I finally uploaded a bunch of pictures I had stored on my digital camera, and here is a couple of shots of a toy giraffe I recently altered for an altered toy swap I hosted with my yahoo group. The toy giraffe is about 3 inches tall, and has been covered in Italian Decoupage Paper from Hannah Grey. Then I glazed it & added the fibers. It was a lot of fun!

That's all for now. Tomorrow night, as promised, I'll update with some deco layout pics!

Sunday, March 25th

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had wonderfully creative weekends. I've been really busy, unfortunately, much of it isn't spent creating, but instead cleaning and preparing for a mother-in-law visit. Unlike many people, I adore my mother-in-law, she's really quite cool. But it's still quite hectic around here getting things ready for her visit.

However, there have been a few chances for working on my art, too. For the B-Muse Yahoo Group, I made a set of "egg" ATCs. The scans aren't great (I use plastic wrap over my scanner glass to prevent scratching on the glass, and I'm not really good at getting the little tiny wrinkles out of the plastic wrap, so it looks like... well, there are scratches on the glass. Cruel Irony).

These are a lot of fun, if for no other reason, for the challenge of their shape.

Other things I've been working on... Decos! I will post a picture of my spread for Candio's "If I Ruled The World" within the next day or so, as I haven't taken the time to scan it yet.

OK... I'm going to have to change my template....

I just can't stand this stark white background... I'll change it after I post these next 4 pictures.

This next deco spread was for Cheryl's Dragonfly deco. It was a clever little deco design, with folded pockets, fastened with dragonfly eyelets, and each pocket held a little tag upon which we were to create. I really enjoyed this one far more than I thought I would, just because of the uniqueness of the design!

On the top left corner of this page, you might notice a little beaded dragonfly charm, which I beaded myself. I had fun with that. The scanned image doesn't reveal all the sparklies on this tag. Here's the flipside......
This next deco is one that I made for Gail's "My Secret Superhero Identity" deco. I decided that "EccentricPastiche" is actually my superhero identity -- tea lady & accidental artist extraordinaire! But then, that's not really a secret, now is it? OH well!
This was a fun deco too. The pages are ATC sized, with punched holes at the top to bind them with a binder ring.

I hope you enjoyed my little art show today! I hope to post more photos within the next couple of days. There are a couple more decos that I need to finish, and I also just finished a puzzle piece, not to mention a few more charms that I need to get finished!!!

Some Pics!

Hey Everyone!

Alright, as promised, I managed to get the 3 decos scanned that I worked on over the weekend. Just to be on the safe side, I'm going to publish the first 2 pictures first, and then upload the other 4 pictures in a separate publication.

These decos were created as part of swaps from the Diva Deco Swappers group...

This first deco belongs to Betsey and is called "Hands of Time."

more to follow... although it won't appear like it's following -- it will look like it's leading.

Saturday Night's Alright

I've been very productive tonight. The past month or so has been plagued (not the best word to use... but, it seems to describe it pretty well) with my overwhelming NEED to get my studio in order. It's still not done, but, it's at least to a point where I feel like I can move around without feeling buried by art supplies.

I've managed to finish several projects that have been waiting in the wings for me to get to them... mostly decos! I finished 3 decos! I'm so happy to be back to doing these ... they've been waiting for me to tend to them for way too long.

They are all drying now, so I will post pictures of them later.
